Power League Rules of Play:
1) All coaches are responsible for being familiar with this document
2) Rosters will be provided to the site director for you to verify during Check-in
3) Entry
a) Each team will be allowed one non-rostered spectator. This person must remain the same personfor the entire event.
b) Teams will be required to complete COVID Check-in procedures using the QR code provided by the Site Director. The non-rostered spectator must accompany their team to check-in.
c) First round teams and officiating crew will check-in at the front desk no earlier than 1 hour before
play is scheduled to begin.
d) Second round teams will check-in at the front desk after the first round has begun.
e) Wristbands will be issued upon completion of the COVID Check-in procedures to all rostered
players, rostered coaches, and spectators.
f) During Check-in all coaches will be required to present a picture ID
g) A coach will need to verify the team’s roster. (Rosters will be provided by the site director)
h) Masks must be worn by all spectators, players, and coaches at all times in the facility.
j) Players are allowed to bring individual food into the facility. No food tables or food sharing will
be allowed.
k) There will not be a trainer on-site.
4) All teams and spectators will be required to return to the team area when their team or player’s team is not playing.
5) Teams are not allowed to socialize with other teams.
6) The facility will not allow congregating in the front area in compliance with the state’s social
distancing requirements.
7) Tournament Format
a) Each match is best 2 out of 3 to 25, third game to 15 (no cap).
b) In pools of 5, each match will be 2 games to 25 (no cap).
c) All results are entered in AES within 30 minutes of the end of the match.
8) Match Protocol
a) Enter facility at designated times stated above.
b) Do not approach the team bench area until the area has been cleared and sanitized.
c) Teams will not shag balls for the opposing team during warm-ups.
d) The coin flip will be done at least 6’ from the scorer’s table with captains only.
e) Game balls should be on the ref stand ready for the first match.
f) Teams will not switch sides between games.
g) Players should not touch for substitutions.
h) There will be no hand-shaking or high-fives between opposing teams.
i) After each match, please make sure your team cleans up the bench area before leaving the court.
9) Refereeing
a) There will be a Day Official assigned to each facility.
b) The team designated to referee will provide a coach to serve as an R1, and no more than two
additional players/coaches to serve as a scorekeeper and flipper.
c) The R1 will be responsible for all pre-match activities and calling lines.
d) Electronic whistles are required (each team will bring own whistle).
e) The officiating team must wear a mask at all times.
f) Hand sanitizer must be available at the scorer’s table for use by participants.
g) Starting times after the first round of play are an estimate. Subsequent matches will begin
immediately after the court is sanitized from the previous match.
h) The following items and areas must be sanitized between matches:
j) Verify with the facility site director that your team is completely done before leaving the facility at the end of the day
